The Hottest Boho Bridal Line Just Announced a Beautiful Plus-Size Collab
Congrats: It’s your wedding year. You’ve chosen an affordable and creative getaway for your destination bachelorette party, picked out all the boho wedding decor details for the big day and planned your dream honeymoon on a budget. After taking a spa day to recover from all that event planning, it’s time to tackle the final (some may say most important) task: buying the dress. For plus-sized babes who are all about that bass, finding a stylish and well-fitting wedding dress can be a struggle, due to limited options. But a new collab is about to change the fight over finding a beautiful fit into a festivity.
Stone Fox Bride, a line popular with alternative boho brides since 2012, has teamed up with plus-size e-comm site Eloquii to create one of the prettiest bridal collections around, and it’s available now. The plus-sized wedding dress collection is a bridal industry game-changer. But designer Molly Guy told Voguethat size-inclusive lines will become “the new normal.” We definitely hope she’s right.
While Stone Fox Bride previously only went up to size 16 (which is a lot higher than some bridal lines), it’ll now go up to size 24. Eloquii’s expertise has been implemented in the new collab, so that dresses fit properly, instead of just being scaled up (which is why, Guy points out, many other plus-size bridal gowns look matronly). With the average size of American women being somewhere between 12 to 14, this is a major coup for the bridal industry.
However, these killer bohemian bridal looks don’t come cheap. Gowns start at $4,350 and go up to $6,800, but Stone Fox Bride justifies the price by noting that gowns are custom-made, and that these prices are right in line with what a size six gown would cost from the brand.
So what does that moolah get you? Our favorites are a pretty slip dress à la Caroline Bissett Kennedy, a pink dip-dyed long sleeve stunner and a vintage-inspired short bustier dress. If you were already planning to splurge, saying yes to one of these dresses just got easier.
