“Stranger Things” Is Getting Its Own Netflix Aftershow
The moment we’ve all been waiting for has FINALLY arrived! At the stroke of midnight, Stranger Things season two will be made available on Netflix, turning our lives “upside down” once more. Except, this time, after you’ve finished binge-racing all nine of the new episodes, there’ll be a little something *extra* to help tide you over ’til season three: Netflix has officially announced a Stranger Things aftershow series!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the specials, of which there will be seven, will be called Beyond Stranger Things, and will be hosted by “super fan” Jim Rash, who you just might recognize from Netflix’s Girlboss, as well as his starring roles in Community and That ’70s Show, to name a few.
The aftershow promises to dig into the inspiration behind the hit series, as well as dish behind-the-scenes dirt from the second season. Beyond Stranger Things also plans to address all of fans’ biggest, burning questions about the show (is Eleven *really* Hopper’s daughter?).

Joining Rash on the show will be creators Ross and Matt Duffer, as well as executive producer and director Shawn Levy and all your favorite stars, including Millie Bobby Brown, Sean Astin, Linnea Berthelsen, Natalia Dyer, Brett Gelman, David Harbour, Randy Havens, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Paul Reiser, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, and newbies Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink. What a gang!
This is Netflix’s first foray into the popular aftershow genre, and it’s in good hands — the same production company behind AMC’s Talking Dead is at the helm. Of course, you wouldn’t want any spoilers, so make sure to avoid them until you’re done.
Ready to get strange? Us too. Tune in at midnight, when all seven episodes will be released in conjunction with the show.
