Raise your hand if one of your secret pleasures involves shutting yourself into your bedroom, opening YouTube and catching up on your favorite vloggers for an hour or two (or tons)? From organic beauty vloggers to celebrity YouTubers and everything in between, YouTube鈥檚 array of quick-hit original content is JUST what the doctor ordered when you need a shot of entertainment or creative inspo.

For the past couple of years, one of my personal favorite YouTubers has been BubzBeauty. The Northern Irish beauty vlogger (whose real name is Lindy Tsang) boasts nearly three million subscribers on her beauty tutorial channel alone. Her second, more personal YouTube channel called Bubzvlogz, is fast-approaching the one-million subscriber mark in its own right. So what makes Bubz such a success 鈥 and why have I, a 30-year-old tomboy who barely ever wears makeup, fallen under her spell?

One look at any of her charming vids should give you a clue. Bubz鈥檚 enthusiastic approach to beauty, creativity and just plain *living* is straight-up infectious. Add that adorable Northern Irish accent and you鈥檝e got yourself a way-relaxing (and informative!) YouTube binge.

We recently got a chance to speak with Bubz on the heels of filming a super-fast zipline ride for Listerine鈥檚 鈥淏ring Out the Bold鈥 campaign and can confirm: She鈥檚 just as charming IRL. She鈥檚 also SUPER wise, as anyone who鈥檚 spent enough time on her YouTube channels already knows. Here鈥檚 what we learned from our chat with Bubz about beauty essentials, self-esteem, motherhood, her fave KDrama and why she鈥檚 obsessed with the 1950s.

B+C: What鈥檚 something you always keep in your purse?

BubzBeauty: I always carry tinted lip balm on the go. Every single purse of mine has one. Lip color makes all the difference to a tired face. With a nice bold lip color, you won鈥檛 even notice my dark circles.

When you wake up and have five minutes to get ready, what鈥檚 the one thing you make sure to do?

I make sure I conceal my imperfections with concealer. Concealer is your best friend! My dark circles are next level.

What鈥檚 one piece of advice you鈥檇 give to someone who wants to follow a similar career path, vlog style?

You need to be passionate about what you do. If you鈥檙e doing this with a mindset to be famous and rich, you will get easily discouraged along the way. Make videos as if nobody is watching. Take this opportunity to learn. Learning is the best asset you can gain from this path.

What鈥檚 one way you boost your self-esteem?

You need to focus on gratitude. A negative mind cannot bring a positive life. I鈥檓 grateful for my 鈥渟mile lines鈥 because it means I smile a lot. I鈥檓 grateful for my stretch marks because it reminds me how blessed I am for my son. I鈥檓 grateful for my muffin top because it tells me I go to bed with a full belly each night. It鈥檚 not how you look. It鈥檚 how you feel.

What鈥檚 one career move you haven鈥檛 made yet that you want to try?

I鈥檓 currently writing a book, but I would love to write children鈥檚 books one day. I used to draw my own comics as a child and this is something that has stuck with me since.

What鈥檚 the last book you read?

鈥淵ear of Yes鈥 by Shonda Rhimes. I love her.

What are you binge watching ATM?

Descendants of the Sun. I鈥檓 absolutely obsessed with this KDrama.

What鈥檚 been the most surprising thing motherhood has taught you?

It鈥檚 taught me to appreciate time so much more. You don鈥檛 get as much sleep and free time, so when you do get it, you cherish it so much. It鈥檚 made me so much more proactive too.

What鈥檚 your most unexpected trait?

I get passionate about things real easy but then I also lose interest fast. This is something I鈥檝e been working on for years.

Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?

I definitely think I鈥檓 more of an introvert, despite what most people think. I鈥檓 quite a homebody and I love to read. Going on the world鈥檚 fastest zipline is not something I would decide to do voluntarily, but I鈥檓 grateful to Listerine for the opportunity. I鈥檓 also the type who lives by the saying 鈥渂e willing to learn and try.鈥 I crave learning and experiences.

If you could live in any time in history, when would it be and why?

I adore the 鈥50s. It was such an elegant time. I love the hair and fashion. I love the music. Everything just seems magical.
