Ariana Grande’s latest music video “thank u, next” has already received some serious praise from the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner. Now Tina Fey, who wrote one of the video’s main inspirations, Mean Girls, has also spoken out on how she felt about the iconic clip.

“I loved it!” Fey excitedly told ET. “My whole office watched it, like, as it was dropping. I loved it so much.”

Fey and her colleagues weren’t the only ones hanging onto every pop-culture reference when the video was released after much hype on Friday, November 30: the video broke records on VEVO and Youtube with over 55 million views within the first 24 hours.

“Thank U, Next” didn’t only feature tributes to Mean Girls, but to other beloved early-aughts romcoms Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, and Bring It On. Witherspoon and Garner, who famously starred in two of the referenced films, reached out to Grande on social media to share their favorite moments.

“Can we please talk about @ArianaGrande’s Bend and Snap?!” Witherspoon tweeted. “10/10 nailed it!”

Garner was especially taken by one scene from the video inspired by 2004’s 13 Going on 30. “Every now and then something comes along and just brightens your day,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a clip from the video showing Grande with a dollhouse similar to the one her character had in the film. “Thank you, pretty girl.”

So what was Fey’s favorite scene? “I loved using Kris Jenner as Mrs. George,” Fey said. “I thought that was really inspired.” Us too, Tina!
