You’ll Freak Out Over the World’s Tiniest Portfolio
When art and design are your passion, you have to get a little creative with your resume and portfolio. And with everything from interactive CVs to video resumes popping up, it’s hard to be ahead of the curve. As a challenge by London-based illustration and animation agency Jelly London, students and recent graduates were asked to create ways to get people talking about their work. Graphic designer and illustrator Michael Lester took his portfolio to a whole other teeny tiny level.
Before creating this portfolio, Michael had to ask himself what he wanted people to say about his work. In pondering this, he realized that for him, “ideas always come before style.” As a visual communicator, he decided to take some of his work and condense it down to tiny Post-it sized notes. Thus, “The World’s Smallest Portfolio” was born.
In designing this tiny-sized, big statement-making portfolio, Michael has truly shown the world a more conceptual side of his work. These portfolios were sent in tiny packages to some of his favorite agencies, complete with mini hand-signed magnifying cards. See more pics and read more about it on his personal website.
