There are plenty of reasons folks are worried about our future under the Trump administration — the effect on women’s issues and LGBTQ rights for instance, not to mention the controversial people he’s hiring. And now we have yet another: Trump apparently has some pretty scary plans when it comes to TV and the arts.

The Hill is reporting that, along with a slew of other possible cuts, Trump’s government has plans to privatize the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Goodbye, public media! Everything you now watch may be filtered through business guidelines and various regulations before it can ever reach citizens.

And that’s not all! The National Endowment for the Arts would be eliminated entirely. Yep, you read that right. The org responsible for grants for artistic and educational productions, exhibitions, research and more may be in danger of disappearing all together.

While we’ll have to wait and see exactly how these potentially devastating changes roll out, this is just another reason to make your voice heard.
