Pies + DIYs: How to Upcycle a Water Bottle
Welcome to another episode of Pies + DIYs! I’m sure you can guess what this series is all about — doing DIYs while eating pie :) You can tune in every Wednesday to pick what DIY project I (Kelly) will make LIVE! I only have three tools and six materials to work with to create the DIY of your choice. Hope to see you all there!
This week Sean and I decided to do different DIYS — I made fake flowers while Sean made a succulent planter. To create the fake flowers you will want to cut the top off the water bottle and then cut out two petal shapes from the plastic. Poke a small hole in the center, paint, and then let dry. While drying, cut out flower petals from different colors of tissue paper. Layer the tissue paper petals and plastic petals onto a pipe cleaner to create your flower.
The succulent planter is a whole lot easier. Simply cut the bottom half of the water bottle off and paint your favorite color. Add a small hole in the bottom for the water to drain and then plant your favorite succulent or flower!
Thanks for watching and we’ll see you next week!
