Watch: The Planet Earth II Trailer Will Restore Your Faith in the Planet
It’s always important to remember all the good in the world. With last night’s Presidential debate causing some intense reactions on Twitter and the non-stop news cycle bringing story after story of bad things happening, it’s hard to remember that there can be so much to be joyous about in the world. And sometimes, like right now, your regular cute puppy IG just won’t cut through all the intensity, and you need something a little bit better.
Lucky for us, we can immerse ourselves in something more beautiful, with BBC One’s newest Planet Earth feature, simply titled Planet Earth II. From wild dogs howling to sloths swimming, the teaser trailer has it all. Gorgeous landscapes and adorable animals going through life. And by the sounds of it, the dulcet tones of Sir David Attenborough’s calming narration are combined with Sigur Ros to provide a comforting soundtrack. This will be the perfect cold winter night, cuddle on the couch movie.
According to the BBC, Planet Earth II was shot using the best and newest drone and plane camera technology and crews, bringing us footage that no one could have ever filmed before (it’s been 10 years since the first!). So, if you think you’ve seen it all with the OG Planet Earth series, think again.
We can’t wait to see what the filmmakers have managed to capture this time around, as we’ve always wanted more from the original PE series.
