You’ll Probably Be Surprised by Which Word Your Home State Can’t Figure Out How to Spell
Spell check can be a “ducking” pain in the butt, but it can also save us from cringe-worthy word-related embarrassment when a handy-dandy spelling app isn’t available. And if there are some words you misspell more than others, you’re not alone, though you may (or may not) be surprised by which word your home state just can’t figure out how to spell.
The fine folks over at Google are celebrating National Spelling Bee week by providing us with a list of words that have plenty of people searching “how do you spell…” From suspicious to delicious, diarrhea to hallelujah — and is that supercalifragilisticexpialidocious we spy?! — there’s a wide range of words that folks aren’t terribly sure about.

Other notable mentions include the doggy-related chihuahua, April-baby-sparked giraffe, and the ever-present chaos, though we can’t help but admit that we’re a little surprised to see words like banana, college, and even Wisconsin make the list.
