Editorial Intern

Join the remote editorial team at Brit + Co and learn the ins and outs of storytelling for an engaged audience of millions of creative women. In this paid role, you’ll get hands-on experience pitching article ideas, writing stories for Brit + Co's website and social channels, and using SEO best practices to reach more readers. Develop your writing skills under the mentorship of an encouraging all-women team.

Weekly Tasks:

• Pitch and write new trending stories for Brit.co daily
• Update relevant content from Brit + Co's archive
• Assist with production in building stories from contributors and photo research
• Keep a pulse on what’s trending in women’s media and pop culture
• Support overarching team goals and work on miscellaneous projects

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has enthusiasm for our core areas of focus: food, fashion, beauty, pop culture, wellness, astrology & lifestyle content
• Lives and breathes creative writing and loves staying up to date on trends
• Is eager to learn, abides by deadlines, and thrives in a remote work environment

This role is remote and open to college students and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in media, publishing, or copywriting. Hours are flexible based on class schedule, part-time to full-time available. Paid opportunity with hourly rate: $15/hour.
