We love a good collaboration. There’s something magical about two of our favorite brands coming together. And the Madewell x Karen Walker collection, launching today, is about as good as a collaboration can get.
The effortlessly cool essentials brand and the cleverly quirky New Zealand-based designer are officially partnering on a line of clothing and sunglasses (one of Walker’s most beloved categories). The collection is comprised of 23 pieces that marry each label’s strengths — Walker’s bold color and patterns and Madewell’s easy, denim-focused vibe. The two even created a new dark indigo denim (soFall 2018) for the occasion, dubbing it the “Walker Wash.” Now that’s a partnership.
So what can you expect from the Madewell x Karen Walker Collection? Lots of playful, fall-ready prints, for one. The color palette is autumnal but transitional and so are many of the silhouettes — so you can rock these pieces now while it’s still hot out, then carry them into the rest of the fall season.
Choose from work-perfect dresses, sweatshirts, blouses, jumpsuits, jeans, and sunglasses (there are three exclusive styles). The patterns are all anchored by dark denim pieces that feature fun details like frayed edges, wide self-belts, bows, and ruffles. Get. In. Our. Closets.
Before you ask: The collection will feature extended sizes, as per Madewell’s new size inclusive initiative, ranging from 00 – 24 and XXS – 3X. The entire collection ranges from $15-$200 and is available now at select Madewell U.S. stores and at Madewell.com. It’s available today for pre-order to Madewell loyalty customers, but everyone else, just check back tomorrow and every day following.
