Katy Perry Trades Her Pink Locks in for Yet Another New Hair Hue
Katy Perry is making her way through the hair color rainbow. Last month, the American Idol judge showed off a hair hue inspired by the cherry blossoms she saw on tour while in Japan. She briefly returned to blonde for the 2018 Met Gala red carpet, but now, she’s showing off a brand new color with a slightly… different inspo.
Taking to Instagram, the “Bon Appétit” crooner shared a snap of herself with a freshly dyed lavender coif. “Call me the purple Teletubby okay,” she joked.
As hairstylist Rick Henry of celeb-favorite Nine Zero One salon in LA revealed, the Joico Color Butter Purple hue, which he dubbed “Blueberry Crush,” kicked off the European leg of Perry’s Witness tour.
As with her pink locks, Perry, 33, is no stranger to violet tresses: She previously rocked the shade at the 2015 Grammy Awards, as seen below.
With dates set for Australia following her UK shows, we can’t help but wonder if we’ll be seeing yet ANOTHER color change for the recently re-coupled singer in the near future: perhaps the green she rocked on the cover of Cosmopolitan back in 2014, or the famous blue ‘do she wore for her “California Gurls” video?
Guess we’ll have to wait and see…
