Kristin Cavallari Says She Would Love to Appear on ‘The Hills’ Reboot
MTV’s upcoming The Hills: New Beginnings reboot will feature several familiar faces, but, sadly, Kristin Cavallari won’t be one of them. While the reality star is committed to her own show, Very Cavallari on E!, she recently admitted that she would love to join her former castmates for the reboot — and whatever drama is set to unfold.
“I mean, of course! I would love to make a cameo,” she recently told ET. “I can’t because of Very Cavallari. But, I mean, even just hearing the stories from [former co-stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag] … they were kind of catching me up to speed on everything that’s going on so yeah, I would love to be a part of it in a small way.”
The cast of the reboot — which, along with Pratt and Montag also includes alumni Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, as well newcomer Mischa Barton, and more — has stayed relatively tight-lipped on what we can expect from the updated reality show, but Montag, who was on hand at Cavallari’s Uncommon James pop-up, dished on the how things have changed in the group.
“A lot of people are acquaintances,” she told ET after Pratt less-diplomatically called them “fake friends.” “We were a group of people that hung out a long time ago. Anyways, I feel like I’m gonna get in trouble!”
Previously, Barton told Cosmo that the majority of the storylines in the reboot come from the shared history among the cast. “The bulk of the drama comes from the history they have,” she said. Of course, with many of the stars now having young families, the dynamic is sure to be different — and we’ll be watching when New Beginnings premieres sometime in summer 2019 to see it play out.
