Olympic Swimmer Michael Phelps Shares the Adorable First Photos of Newborn Son
Michael Phelps may be the most decorated Olympian of all time, winning 22 medals in three Olympic Games, but the champion swimmer just accomplished what may have been his greatest achievement of all: The 30-year-old athlete and his fiancée, Nicole Michele Johnson (AKA Miss California USA 2010) just joined the ranks of Nick Carter, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and welcomed their first child into the world earlier this week.
It’s definitely a sweet ending for Phelps and Johnson, who have been dating on and off since 2007, and, following a brief split in 2011, decided to give their love another chance. Making it official with a ring in 2015, the couple is now enjoying their first taste of parenthood before walking down the aisle (with what we can only assume will be an extra cute little ring bearer to boot, no less)!

New mom Nicole also turned to Instagram to show off her bundle of joy, wishing her own mama a happy Mother’s (and Grandmother’s!) day, writing: “Happy Mothers & your first Grandmother’s Day to my amazing mama @annettejohnsoncoss. I love you so much mama and I can’t wait to teach my lil one all the love you taught me!!” Awww!
If Phelps is chosen to wear one of the new uniforms as a member of the US 2016 Rio Olympic team this summer, it looks like he’ll have a new tiny supporter rooting for him, and we can’t wait to see those photos. Congrats to the happy couple!
