It’s a night to celebrate the best in music, and although most of the show focuses on brand new tunes from the past year, the 58th Grammy Awards paid tribute to one of its biggest back-in-the-day stars, Lionel Richie.

Taking to the stage to perform selections of some of Richie’s most famous songs were John Legend, Tyrese, Luke Bryan and Meghan Trainor. But it was Demi Lovato that took our breath away. Like, OMG!

She started out totally on-point and then BAM! BOOM! POW! She blew us all away by taking the performance to the next level. Even Lionel Ritchie was obviously loving it, pumping his fists and mouthing “YES” while Demi belted out his hit “Hello.”

The whole medley is great, but we wouldn’t fault you for skipping to the 30-second mark for Demi’s solo. Just sayin.’
