Even if you can’t make it to New Orleans for a classic Carnival celebration, that doesn’t mean you should forget the fun. I mean — who doesn’t want the perfect excuse to try Mardi Gras jello shots, show off funny accessories and wear the perfect purple and green makeup? If you’re a fan of Fat Tuesday, get ready to bring the party home with this sparkling DIY mask.
Materials and Tools:
1. Glue the lace trim as shown in the picture below, then cut out the excess.
2. Glue the feathers on one side of the mask and let everything completely dry.
3. Spray paint the mask and feathers and let them dry.
4. Use the glue gun to attach the beads, and you’re ready to wear your mask.
Start by attaching the lace trim as shown in the picture above, then cut out the excess with the fabric scissors. Next, glue the feathers on one side of the mask and let everything completely dry. At this point, spray paint the mask and feathers with a gold spray. Once the mask is completely dry, use the glue gun to attach the beads on the top of the feathers. Voilà, you’re ready to wear your Mardi Gras mask!
I feel like I’m on Bourbon Street… from the comfort of my own home ;)
