This is day 3 of our #31DaysofDIY series, and it鈥檚 the perfect project for a lazy Saturday afternoon.

No idea what #31DaysofDIY is? It鈥檚 a brand new tradition here at Brit + Co that鈥檚 all about kicking off 2015 right. We鈥檝e challenged ourselves to make or learn something new every single day for the month of January, and we鈥檙e inviting all of you along for the ride. From DIY basics like Sewing 101 to learning to design and laser cut our own stencils, we hope this month of making inspires you to make all year long.

Now, onto the sneaks.

Materials:
鈥 white canvas sneakers

鈥 paint pens

Instructions:

1. Test out your pattern by drawing it on a piece of paper.

2. Use a paint pen to draw your pattern on your shoe.

3. Let dry. That鈥檚 it!

2-Materials

We stocked up on a paint pen in every color to test out different combinations and designs. We recommend planning out your pattern by drawing it on a piece of paper first. Then, to the shoes!

3-Patterns

Start at the bottom edge of your sneaker and work your way up. We went with a geometric pattern and a color palette of light blue, blue, purple, green, yellow and gold. To finish things off, we created green piping around the top edge of the sneaker and color blocked yellow sections at the back.

Add your laces back in, and you鈥檙e ready for a dance party.

How easy was that?
