How to Get the Rustic-Chic Decor Vibes of Julianne Hough’s LA Home
Actress, entrepreneur and DWTS star Julianne Hough may take the spotlight with fancy dance moves and pastel hairstyles, but her home is a haven of greenery, raw wood and natural textures. Craving a cozy vibe, Julianne chose colors and textures inspired by nature to create an inviting space that’s ideal for hosting her legendary dinner parties. Scroll down to see how to get the look in your own dining room and bedroom, then head over to Better Homes and Gardens to check out the rest of Julianne’s gorgeous home.
Rather than opting for the trendiest home decor, Julianne decided to go for timeless pieces that never go out of style. Since she loves entertaining — did you see her summer outdoor party? — the dining room had to feel comfortable, casual and chic. A raw edge dining table, colorful glassware and a mid-century gold light fixture sets the scene for many beautiful gatherings.
Steal the same look for your dining room with a rustic rough edge dining table and woven dining chairs, and toss in a pop of accent color via blue velvet pillows. Keep the natural theme going with a potted plant or two and bring in the glam with a gold light fixture and gold serving utensils.
Pier 1 Plush Indigo Pillow ($20), West Elm Staggered Glass Chandelier ($399), H&M Textured Tumbler ($6), H&M Small Stoneware Pitcher ($15), Sierra Living Concepts Live Edge Dining Table ($4500), H&M Metal Salad Servers ($15), Lulu & Georgia Halette Rug ($44+), Nearly Natural Ficus Bushy Silk Tree ($156), Safavieh Fes Arm Chair ($235)
In keeping with her love of all things neutral, Julianne kept the bedroom light and bright: She chose all white bedding, a wood slice nightstand and cozy throw blankets. She added glam with gray velvet cushions, pretty picture frames and a fab faux fur chair.
Copy Julianne’s bedroom with a cushy rug, fresh white bedding and a few statement pieces like a circular mirror and a fluffy chair that you’ll seriously never want to leave. Keep the room interesting with plenty of textures with indoor plants, chunky throw blankets, wood nightstands and a glossy white lamp.
