Lena Dunham has a brand new look. The Girls star and podcast host recently ditched her signature short hair in exchange for some lush, long locks — and boy does she look different!

She ❤️S me

Lena debuted her long, blonde ombre extensions on Instagram in a picture featuring her snuggled up with Girls showrunner Jenni Konner. We’re guessing the look is definitely related to her HBO show.

In addition to tagging Jenni, she also tagged makeup artist Matin, The Hundreds founder Bobby Hundreds, and hairstylist Rheanne White, who is responsible for Lena’s new coif.

“Lena is very eccentric and likes to try fun things,” Rheanne told Allure. “It’s human hair that I glued in. The hair I glued in was already colored. I sometimes prefer gluing since it lays closer to the scalp plus I didn’t have a lot of time to create Lena’s look.” If you want to recreate the look for yourself, Rheanne suggests using clip-in extensions for volume but human hair for a more natural look.

While this new look could totally just be Lena having fun, we’re hoping that the hair is a nod to her character Hannah Horvath, who we’re sad to see go. The final season of Girls airs on February 12 at 10pm on HBO.
