One of the hallmarks of a ’90s childhood was Lisa Frank, whose technicolor school supplies and prints filled our backpacks and bedroom walls (right beside JTT posters, of course). For anyone who misses the funky neon colors, the stars and bubbly hearts, there’s a nostalgia-inducing makeup collection heading your way.
YouTube makeup guru Kandee Johnson just announced that she’s teaming up with cruelty-free beauty brand Glamour Dolls and the Lisa Frank brand for a Kickstarter collaboration that could actually make Lisa Frank makeup a reality. As of this post, the campaign has already met its $30,000 goal. EEK! It’s happening!
The campaign all started from the overwhelming response of a Lisa Frank-designed Glamour Dolls blush brush ($5), which is currently available for pre-sale for a verrrrrry affordable price.
Glamour Dolls hopes to expand and create at least six other limited edition, cruelty-free and vegan makeup: a matte mousse lippie, a glittery highlighter, a soothing lip balm, eyeliner, a makeup bag and unicorn surprise. Backing the campaign will give you a chance to vote on products, pick shades and be one of the first to see the new designs.
