Re-Organize Your Jewelry Collection With These DIY Marble Trays

As we settle into the new year, it’s not just our homes, diets and ab exercises that could use a winter refresh. To breathe new life into our wardrobes and re-organize the way we set out our OOTDs, we’re bringing back these crazy cute marbled jewelry trays to elegantly display a day’s worth of jewelry on your dresser or vanity!

To bring you this easy DIY all wrapped up in our Marbled Jewelry Tray Kit, we teamed up with the lovely ladies behind Rocksbox, the fabulous subscription-based service that sends a rotating collection of designer jewelry to your door monthly for the price of an H&M statement piece (umm yeah! we’re signing up right now). And to sweeten the deal, you’ll also receive your first month as a new member of Rocksbox for FREE when you purchase the kit!

Grab a kit for yourself and keep scrolling to see how we put these pretty marbled trays together!

Materials:

– white oven-bake clay

– colorful oven-bake clay

– gold paint pen

(easy as that — grab all three in our kit AND get a free month of Rocksbox!)

Tools (not included in kit):

– butter knife

– baking tray

Instructions:

1. Break off one section of white and one section of colored clay and twist them around each other. Keep twisting and kneading your clay until you have an evenly dispersed, marbled pattern and flatten it into a circle measuring about three inches in diameter.

2. Grab one more section of white clay, flatten it into another circle of about the same size and layer it underneath your marbled circle.

3. Using a butter knife, carefully trim off the uneven edges of your two-layer clay circle and then pinch the edges of your clay circle upward so that it forms a lip all the way around.

4. Repeat for your second, larger tray, using two white sections plus two pink sections for the marbled layer and two white sections for the white bottom layer. Bake both trays in a 275º Fahrenheit oven for about 25 minutes.

5. Once cooled, paint the edges of each tray with your gold paint pen.

Simplest materials list EVER! Unwrap that clay and let’s get marbling!

That’s really all there is to it! A simple DIY with a beautiful result, shown in a soft pink and a deep teal.

The only thing missing from these trays is a collection of sparkly things to fill them up! Our good friends at Rocksbox introduced us to these beautiful druzy and amethyst pieces by Leslie Francesca (which happens to be their featured collection in January! ;)

When we first laid our eyes on these dreamy druzy studs, rings and pendants, we started thinking of ways to style them into our own lives and wardrobes.

Ballerina-pink jewelry trays, black studs, champagne rings and a wear-with-everything amethyst pendant are the perfect picks for the girl who’s keepin’ it classic with timeless neutrals and feminine details.

And these deep-sea teal jewelry trays paired with a colorful mix of blue, magenta and purple gems are the ideal combination for the wild and free beach babe who loves incorporating natural elements into her OOTD.

Which one will you choose? Make your own set of Marbled Jewelry Trays at home and show us how you would style them to match your own unique vibe.
