Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Wife Tasha McCauley Welcomed Baby No. 2!
It’s a boy! Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tasha McCauley welcomed a son in June, People confirmed. The Snowden actor and his wife of three years are already parents to a son, who will turn two years old next month. As with their first child, the couple will be keeping all other details — including the baby’s name — private.
Gordon-Levitt has remained quiet about his family, telling Howard Stern in 2013, “The girl that I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of that.” (We do know, however, that McCauley has quite an impressive resume, with a graduate certificate in robotics and an MBA in business education and research.)
The 10 Things I Hate About You alum extended that same privacy to his first-born, explaining on Live! With Kelly and Michael in 2015 that while he appreciated what his public lifestyle has afforded him, he didn’t want to force his son into the spotlight. “My son, he’s just a baby, you know?” he said at the time. “He hasn’t made the choice to be in the public eye, and that’s a choice that I would like him to be able to make when he’s older, when he can think about these kinds of things and make that decision for himself. And so, for now, I’m just a protective dad, and I want to protect his privacy.”
While we admit we are curious about everything JGL does, his commitment to his family’s wishes only makes us love him more.
