Katy Perry Threw Orlando Bloom a Surprise 40th Birthday Party and It Was Predictably Awesome
Katy Perry has been a busy lady lately! Between her newfound political endeavors and her charity work (check out her and Orlando Bloom dressed up as Santa and Mrs. Claus at a children’s hospital), she’s had her hands full with good deeds, but she still found time to make a super sweet gesture for Orlando’s 40th birthday this Friday.
Approximately a year after they first had tongues wagging with innocent flirtations at the 2016 Golden Globes, Katy has become close enough to her beau to not only throw him a killer surprise bash in Palm Springs, but to get his mom in on the action.
In a too-cute-for-words post to Instagram, Orlando wrote, “Best gift ever, surprise visit from me mum.”
And that wasn’t all!
The pop star also got her BF an owl-shaped cake, yelling, “GO AROUND, GO AROUND, GO AROUND, GO AROUND!,” as he attempted to blow out the candles.

Partygoers also celebrated with Orlando-printed PJ pants (OMFG), with Orlando reportedly donning a similar onesie for the occasion.
Happy birthday, Orlando!
