As is an unofficial tradition, the 2017 Cannes Film Festival red carpet has doubled as a high-fashion runway this year. While some stars have gone with sexier styles (hello, Bella Hadid’s up-to-there slit), Kendall Jenner made a statement with a much trickier trend.

The model attended the premiere of 120 Beats Per Minute wearing a billowing Giambattista Valli gown and Chopard drop earrings and statement ring. The puffed, one-shoulder dress and attention-grabbing train made a statement on their own. But then we scrolled down and saw — get this — SOCKS.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wore a pair of Wolford Nude 8 Socks with her beige stiletto sandals. It definitely was a lewk and, we have to admit, a surprisingly wearable one on AND off the red carpet. Plus, we bet it kept her toes warm too.
