Trust me: there is a better, just-as-effortless way to whip up your hair with staying power, and it鈥檚 as simple as stepping away from the elastic! Grab a teasing comb and a handful of bobby pins and read below for the *right* way to put your hair up into a bun.

Here鈥檚 one 鈥 he鈥檚 so cute, we can鈥檛 stand it!

STEP 1: PULL YOUR HAIR INTO A MEDIUM PONYTAIL

rosemund3

Gather your hair into a mid-height ponytail (you want the end pony to fall somewhere between topknot and low bun territory) and loosely cinch it with a small elastic 鈥 one that wouldn鈥檛 work if you tried to stretch it out to tie up your bun. Create texture and height by roughing up the crown with the pointy side of a teasing brush. Move the brush upwards and from side to side to create volume and separation.

STEP 2: TWIST UP A BUN

Bun

You know what to do 鈥 grab it, twist it, tuck it. Now grab your bobby pins to pin the bun in place. Don鈥檛 worry about loose pieces鈥 your bun shouldn鈥檛 be perfect.

STEP 3:聽SPRAY IN PLACE

Spray your bun in place and play up any flyaways 鈥 they鈥檙e welcome here! The overall look needs to be effortless and LOOK effortless.
