People Are Always Asking Me Where I Got My… Stylish Eyeglasses
Here at Brit + Co, we are all about trying new things. And when it comes to refining our own personal styles, we’re always on the lookout for tips and tricks. In addition to combing fashion influencer ‘grams and trend reports on the daily, we also turn to our in-house fashionistas to learn how to be creative, experimental, and fearless in our exploration of personal style. In our second series installment, we’re pleased to introduce you to Natasha Thomas, Brit + Co’s Community Manager and trendy risk-taker. Tash’s signature style ranges from sexy stilettos to cozy kicks, and everything in between, and we couldn’t wait to find out exactly what item she (and everyone else) has been loving the most lately.
We field tripped out with this fashion girl to find out more about her sassy faves as well as how she effortlessly transitions her outfits from day to night.
Brit + Co: What’s the one item that people are always asking you about?
Natasha Thomas: My EyeBuyDirect Westbound Bronze Eyeglasses ($29+).
B+C: How did you discover them?
NT: My best friend’s little brother came to visit, and he was wearing a pair of grandpa glasses. You know the style — boxy aviators that you could clip tinted lenses on. They looked good on him and not so great on me, but I was determined to find a similar style that would work for my face. I decided to check EBD’s site first before heading to a store because I wasn’t sure a traditional optometrist or eyeglass shop would carry this style.
B+C: So you ordered glasses without trying them on?!
NT: I’ve ordered other pairs of glasses from EBD in the past. They’re very affordable and if they don’t fit right, it’s an easy return process.
B+C: What do you love about them specifically?
NT: I love the color and the fact that they have this new, yet retro feel.
B+C: How often do you wear them?
NT: I have several pairs of glasses, but these are by far my favorite. I probably wear them four times a week. I’m even looking to see if I can get another pair in another color and with digital screen protection lenses.
B+C: What are some of your other fave go-to items and closet staples?
NT: My fleece joggers with my Allbirds shoes. It’s a well put-together athleisure look, but so comfortable. It feels like I’m wearing PJs.
B+C: What’s one other clutch item that seamlessly assists your style transition from boardroom to dance floor?
NT: My black faux leather moto jacket.
B+C: What advice do you have for girls who are trying to refine their personal style and find the perfect staple closet items?
NT: Follow your heart. If you have that “I have to have it” feeling, then you know it’s something special.
