Usually, the day after the Met Gala is a day of reflection: which celebs were best dressed, made not so great fashion choices and those that made it red carpet official. It’s also the time to check out all the little details we may have missed while scanning the red carpet arrivals. And this year’s Met Gala theme: Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology made for some awesome futuristic beauty elements. Take, for example, model Gigi Hadid’s manicure, which complemented her overall robot-inspired look.
Featuring custom chrome nail polish, under-nail crystals and perfect almond shaped tips, this robo-future manicure, created by celebrity stylist Mar Y Sol Inzerillo, cost more than most people’s rent. Dubbing Gigi’s look GigiTron, this once-in-a-lifetime look cost a whopping $2,000 to create, from nail extensions and jewels, right down to the custom nail polish (which we’re loving!). Everything about this look is on point, especially Gigi’s robot-hand-inspired rings to complete the GigiTron look.
Now, we just need to figure out where to find our own chrome nail polish, and we’ll be rocking robot nails too.
