The Duchess of Cambridge was a leading lady of style last night when she attended the 2017 BAFTA Awards with Prince William wearing a custom off-the-shoulder Alexander McQueen dress that really showed off her impressively toned shoulders.
The dramatic floral gown is a variation of one that first appeared in the fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2016 Resort collection. The original featured a corset body and thin spaghetti straps, but Kate Middleton’s bespoke version had a celeb-approved Bardot cut.
Kate’s definitely trying something new. Her red carpet gowns are usually very princess-y with full skirts and layers of chiffon, but this one was va-va-voom! Also, what’s your go-to workout, Kate? Asking for a friend.
