A milestone season calls for a legendary lineup, and Survivor is delivering exactly that. After 25 years, Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans is set to make waves when it debuts in February 2026.
The long-awaited cast list was officially announced on May 28 during CBS Mornings, and it's already stirring up plenty of excitement among die-hard followers of the show.
Season 50 is set to once again take place on the stunning beaches of Fiji, where a group of returning players will battle it out for the grand prize of $1 million. Among the familiar faces are Mike White, the creator of The White Lotus, and Jenna Lewis-Dougherty, an original castaway on Survivor's first season back in 2000.
What's most intriguing about the new season, though, is how much power the fans have been given over the game. After Survivor 50 was announced earlier this year, viewers were able to vote on all sorts of things, ranging from immunity necklace designs and tribe color selections to even whether there would be hidden immunity idols.
Here's what to know about Survivor season 50 — including the iconic new cast!

In a press release, host Jeff Probst noted how the new season will be extremely unique, celebrating the series' longevity by placing its fans front and center in the decision-making.
"From the very first season, Survivor has been evolving. Now, for our 50th season, it's time for the next evolution. Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans is unlike anything we've done before. I can't wait to see what the fans choose for our returning players," he said at the time.

More recently, ahead of the official cast list dropping, the Survivor social media accounts began dropping Easter eggs about the castaways. The hints showed which season each player was from. This revealed that Survivor 50 would include castaways from Season 1 through Season 48.
Plus, there are still two open slots for players from Season 49, which hasn't premiered yet. It's set to debut in the fall, and the exact date has yet to be announced.

Aside from those two spots, we know that Colby Donaldson, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, Benjamin "Coach" Wade, and Aubry Bracco will be returning. All of these castaways appeared on multiple seasons of Survivor.
Chrissy Hofbeck of Season 35, Christian Hubicki and Angelina Keeley of Season 37, Rick Devens of Season 38, Jonathan Young of Season 42, and Emily Flippen and Dee Valladares of Season 45 will also be coming back.

Fans of Season 46 have a lot to look forward to as well since three castaways from that iteration, Q Burdette, Tiffany Ervin, and Charlie Davis, will be battling it out again. Finally, from Season 47 is Genevieve Msuhaluk, and from Season 48 are Kamilla Karthigesu, Joseph Hunter, and Kyle Fraser.
In a May 28 post on Instagram, Jeff Probst read out all the castaways' names in true Survivor fashion, revving fans up for the game ahead. As you await Survivor 50, you can catch up on past seasons on Hulu.
