Clueless style is making a comeback in a big way, and supermodel Bella Hadid is here to prove it! The 21-year-old stepped out for a Tag Heuer opening in Tokya this weekend looking like a modern-day Cher Horowitz.
Taking the iconic plaid pattern from the classic ‘90s flick and making it her own, Hadid rocked a vintage Alaïa bodycon red and yellow houndstooth mini with matching red suede Christian Louboutin Charletta lace-up brogues, sheer nude ankle socks, and, of course, a Tag Heuer timepiece.
As fans of the film will no doubt remember, Alaïa also happens to be the very same designer Cher herself was wearing when she was robbed at gunpoint. “Oh, no, you don’t understand. This is an Alaïa!” she squeals when her attacker requests that she lay on the ground.
It’s not the first time we’ve seen the runway strutter channel the fashion icon, either. Back in July 2017, she put her own spin on Cher’s famous yellow mini plaid jacket and skirt combo and white boots with a yellow plaid-tie blouse, a studded side-tie black denim skirt, and white booties of her own.
What a Betty!
