Blake Lively has been busy working her way through Cannes, stunning in everything from French girl casual chic to Disney-inspired outfits (check out her top five outfits of the festival), and has been sharing every moment of it via her Instagram account. But now Blake has shared a pic with an accompanying caption that has some peeps pretty peeved.

L.A. face with an Oakland booty

Posting a pic of herself in her gold Cannes dress, the pic shows two shots of Blake, one from the front and the other from the back. The actress captioned the images, 鈥淟.A. face with an Oakland booty.鈥 Sooo, we know she was trying to be funny and yes, the caption is lyrics lifted directly from Sir Mix-A-Lot鈥檚 鈥90s standard 鈥淏aby Got Back,鈥 but not everyone is laughing. In fact, many are calling the caption 鈥渞acially insensitive鈥 and 鈥渢one deaf.鈥

One commenter broke it down, explaining, 鈥淭his quote is offensive because it adheres to the hegemonic hypersexualization of Black/Latina bodies. Why can鈥檛 she have an Oakland face? It continues to perpetrate the myth that women of color all have big butts and large breasts.鈥 Another wrote, 鈥淎nother day, another rich white woman using [Women of Color鈥檚] bodies as a punchline and commodity.鈥 Sounds like girlfriend鈥檚 landed herself in some hot water there.

Bibbidi bobbidi bling

Blake hasn鈥檛 addressed the controversy or removed the offending pic, but instead has since posted a pic of her jewels that she鈥檚 sporting at Cannes with the caption, 鈥淏ibbidi Bobbidi Bling.鈥 Hmm鈥 maybe you should stick to Cinderella-related posts there, Blake?
