When it comes to decorating our homes on a budget, we鈥檙e always up for the challenge. Whether your style is trendy and sophisticated or cozy and rustic, we can guarantee this DIY will help聽to pull off any聽look on a budget.聽All it takes is a聽piece of cord and wood and you can聽make this $108聽Anthro shelf for almost zero dollars ;)

Materials and Tools:
鈥 15脳6-inch piece of wood

鈥 (1) 60-inch piece of聽jute rope

鈥 drill

鈥 ruler

鈥 pencil

鈥 scissors

Instructions:

1. Take your pre-cut piece of wood and聽measure one聽inch from the聽top and one聽inch from the left. Mark that spot, then repeat on the other side.聽Repeat, but this time measure one聽inch from the bottom. Mark the spots with your聽pencil.

2. Drill to create four holes.

3. Take your piece of rope and cut it in half.

4.聽Thread the first piece of rope聽through the top holes and tie a knot as shown below. Repeat with the other piece and you鈥檙e done.

Start by taking your piece of wood and聽measuring one聽inch from the聽top and one聽inch from the left edge. Mark that spot with the pencil, then do the same thing聽on the other side. Next repeat, but this time measure one聽inch from the bottom. Now that you鈥檝e marked聽your four spots, use the drill to create some聽holes.

At this point, take your piece of rope and cut in half.聽Thread the first piece of jute聽rope聽through the top holes and tie a knot as shown above. Repeat with the other piece. Voil脿, you鈥檙e done!
