On Thursday, May 17, Hilaria Baldwin announced that she and her husband, Alec Baldwin, had welcomed a baby boy. Today, the mother of four revealed her newborn son’s name.
“We are happy to introduce you to Romeo Alejandro David Baldwin,” the fitness and wellness expert shared on Instagram, along with a pic of her baby.
Hilaria and Alec are already the parents of four-year-old Carmen Gabriela, two-year-old Rafael Thomas, and 20-month-old Leonardo Ángel Charles. The former 30 Rock star also has a 22-year-old daughter, Ireland, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger.
Ireland took to Instagram after Romeo’s birth to wish her father and stepmother the best. “Congratulations to @hilariabaldwin and @iamabfalecbaldwin on the arrival of a little smush. Love you both!” she wrote.
Carmen is thrilled to be a big sister again, too. On May 18, Hilaria shared a picture of her daughter with the new baby, writing, “Proud big sister Carmen came to meet our new baby today…the other boys were napping, so they will meet him soon! All is wonderful. Still choosing his name. Carmen has had quite a few great ideas.”
She went on to address the most recent school shooting, which took place earlier that day. “I have taken a postpartum photo, as I have done in the past, but due to the [Santa Fe, Texas] school shooting, I’m going to wait to post,” she explained. “It’s such an experience being in a maternity ward, surrounded by new life, intensely blooming love, and to be reading about such violence and hatred. If only these horrible people could really have in perspective how we all begin…such sweet, innocent babies… my heart is breaking for the victims, for the families, and for all of us. Because this isn’t getting any better through inaction.”
Later, she shared a picture of herself and her hubby at home with their four little ones, writing, “Reunited! So tired, but happy! Little rainy day movie.”
