We’re surrounded by wrapping paper here at HQ — the holiday season is well on its way, after all. We’ve got amazing paper and all the necessary tools and extras like scissors, tape and toppers (grab a kit here). And of course, we’ve started to collect gifts for our friends and family. Today, in partnership with the Scotch® Brand, we’re going to hit on two topics that no one seems to talk about — wrapping oddly shaped gifts and making your shipping boxes look adorable — because how DO you wrap that rocking horse?
How to Decorate a Gift Box
Wrapping gifts is so fun and creative, but we often forget to make our shipping boxes look beautiful as well! Here’s a quick and easy way to make your packages shine.
Materials + Tools:
– Scotch® Heavy Duty Shipping Tape
– Scotch® Expressions Metallic Tape
– Scotch® Expressions Washi Tape
– Scotch™ Scissors

Here we go!
First stretch out a piece of tape and fold it over so that the sticky sides attach to one another, then cut out pieces of confetti in different colors.
Place the confetti on top of your wrapped gift box and then use Scotch® Heavy Duty Shipping Tape to cover the entire box! This will seal the confetti to the box.
Wrapping Oddly Shaped Objects
Often we buy gifts that aren’t so easy to wrap. Anything that isn’t packaged in a square or rectangular box can prove to be a challenge. The trick to getting these gifts perfectly wrapped is Scotch™ Cushion Wrap.
Materials + Tools:

– Scotch™ Cushion Wrap
– Scotch™ Scissors

Let’s get these cute nutcrackers wrapped!
A great way to protect your gifts is to wrap them with Scotch™ Cushion Wrap. Completely cover them until the sides are not too bumpy, then place them in a box. Fill the spaces with more cushion wrap if you notice the gifts are moving around.
Tape your box with Scotch® Heavy Duty Shipping Tape and then add your handwritten address label. Cover the label with Scotch® Heavy Duty Shipping Tape to seal out moisture!
