J. Crew has always been a favorite for classic, stylish and functional pieces, but in the past few years they’ve started throwing some surprises our way. From designer collaborations that rival the king of collabs (Target) to bridal wear and even an affordable spin-off store, J. Crew Mercantile, the purveyors of prep has really stepped up their game. The latest collection from J. Crew features something we haven’t seen from them before — customization. Enter J. Crew’s newest bag: the Signet ($128).

J. Crew’s “What’s your purse-onality” campaign wants you to express your creativity and make the new Signet bag totally yours. All bags start out with the same high-quality Italian leather and a versatile crossbody silhouette that’s just big enough for the essentials. And that’s where the fun begins — you get to choose from 10 different colors and prints for the bag itself, then add accessories like bag tags ($7), itty-bitty coin purses ($30) and key fobs ($12), all of which come in a myriad of colors. The final cherry on top of this glorious, rainbow-colored sundae is the addition of monogramming. Add initials or little phrases to the bag or any of the additional accessories to round out your brand-new, totally personalized Signet bag.

The bags start at $128 each, while the special edition color block and leopard print versions come in at $298 due to the luxe calf-hair material. The coin purses start at $30 and the key fobs and bag tags start at $12 and $8, respectively. Some of the bag tags already come embossed with fun phrases like “MINE”, “VIP” and “BON VIVANT,” but additional monogramming is $10.

If you’re looking for a more substantial bag to carry around books, a laptop and everything else your busy life requires, J. Crew also offers the All-day tote ($178) with the same monogramming option. And since the accessories can all be bought separately and easily attached to any bag, the tote has just as many fun variations as the Signet.

Phew, that’s a lot of options! But we’re definitely not complaining. BRB — we’ll be over here designing the Signet bag of our dreams.
