Duchess Kate Middleton Says Meghan Markle’s Pregnancy Is ‘Such a Special Time’
On the same day that Duchess Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa, gave birth to a baby boy with husband James Matthews, making Kate an aunt for the first time, the royal family announced some other happy news: Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle are expecting their own little one in 2019. And the Duchess of Cambridge couldn’t be happier to welcome another addition to her extended family.
Middleton was in Leicester, England, on November 28, to honor the late owner of the Premier League football club, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, when she stopped to greet the crowd gathered outside. According to a video posted to an Instagram fan account, one curious bystander asked, “Are you excited for Meghan and her new baby?”
“Yeah, absolutely,” the mother of three replied cheerfully. “It’s such a special time to have all kiddies and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, and Louis, so it’ll be really special.”
She also happily reported that her own brood is “doing well,” and that Prince Louis is getting big. “I can’t believe he’s, like, seven months now,” she said, adding that he and his older brother and sister, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are starting to get excited for the holidays.
“They’ve started with all their Christmas songs and Christmas trees and going on and things like that,” she told the well-wisher. “It’s cute.”
