The Thursday Murder Club is the perfect cozy mystery to stream this fall, filled with an all-star cast and brilliant directorial work by Chris Columbus. Paramount Pictures
Clue — Stream on MGM+
If you loved the cozy murder mystery board game while growing up, you’re gonna be just as fond of the movie, which captures that same whimsical, ominous spirit of the original game. Just all-around fun, in the same vein as The Thursday Murder Club.

Netflix
Enola Holmes — Stream on Netflix
You know all about Sherlock Holmes, but what about his little sister Enola? She may be overshadowed by her older bro’s famous wits, but Enola herself is such an intelligent sleuth that she may even surpass Sherlock when it comes to her detective work. Millie Bobby Brown gives her all to this performance, and it’s the perfect period piece to get lost in, while solving mysteries alongside Enola.

Lionsgate
Knives Out — Stream on Prime Video
Here’s another terrific ensemble cast with a similar spirit to The Thursday Murder Club. Rife with tension, family drama, and unsolved mysteries, Knives Out is heavily regarded as one of the best films within this respective genre.

Gravitas Ventures
The Mole Agent — Stream on Netflix
If you love the concept of elderly folks solving serious crimes like in The Thursday Murder Club, you’re gonna love the 2020 documentary The Mole Agent, which tackles a similar subject. The documentary follows a retired older gentleman who is looking to pass the time as he enters his twilight years. He is able to lock down a position as an undercover agent, where he goes into a retirement home in order to solve crime cases. Yet his life flips upside down in a way he never anticipated, as he forms thrilling friendships with the people living inside the retirement home. If this sounds familiar, it’s because Ted Danson’s Netflix series, A Man on the Inside, is based on the show The Mole Agent.

Warner Bros. Entertainment
It: Chapters One and Two — Stream on HBO Max
One of my absolute favorite cinematic tropes is when a ragtag bunch of misfits comes together in order to solve the biggest crime mysteries in their small, eerie town. While Stephen King's It movies don’t exactly fall into the “cozy” murder mystery category, they have the same fun spirit of a group of friends who, despite all odds, must save the town from deadly crime. You get to witness the characters evolve from their younger years till their 40s, where drama within their friend group is just as prominent as the drama taking place in Derry, Maine.

Netflix
Murder Mystery — Stream on Netflix
I’m not sure what it is exactly about Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler’s chemistry that gets people so giddy, but it’s a real thing, and it’s precious to witness. The two already proved their on-screen chemistry with the 2011 film Just Go With It, and they take that spark up a notch with Murder Mystery on Netflix. This movie is so insane, hilarious, and an absolute adventure from start to finish.
