We loooove the sleek and glossy feel of the high-fashion runways, don’t you? This year, the catwalk showcased loads of looks with mass appeal, but we’re still swooning over one super sleek style that gleamed a little brighter than others: We’re dubbing it the shiny and sleek runway hair hack. Combining mirror-like sheen, the right amount of complexity and lazy-girl hair sensibility, this slick look is our go-to when we want a serious style but are low on time. Give this one a try and get ready to STRUT!

STEP 1: CREATE YOUR FIRST PONYTAIL

First, gather hair from the top half of your crown and create a ponytail using a clear elastic band. Leave the sides out for fullness; you’ll be tucking them into your second ponytail in the following steps!

It looks sleek, simple and chic, doesn’t it? Now, it’s time to get mega volume.

STEP 2: DEFINE, LIFT + SHINE

Create instant volume right at the crown by using the pointed end of a teasing comb to lift, lift, lift! Gently raise the stick up and down until you’ve achieved your desired volume.

STEP 3: SLICK ON SLEEK

Now, let’s sleek up our look with a smoothing oil that will keep your locks looking extra shiny.

Apply it only to the hairline and softly across the top of your ‘do for maximum shine. Remember to use a little bit of product at a time to properly add sheen without veering into oil slick territory.

STEP 4: CREATE YOUR SECOND PONYTAIL

Create your second ponytail (with the hair you left out at the sides in Step 1) to complete your look and get your hair completely out of your face.

Let the first ponytail fall over the second for a polished, finished look. Simple, right?!
