This New Convertible Bag Is a Working Woman’s Dream
Finding a bag that looks cute is relatively easy. Finding a bag that looks cute, fits all your stuff, and can go from desk to dinner and back again? Not so much. More than likely, you end up carrying a clutch inside a satchel inside a tote… you know what we mean. But what if we told you we found one bag that will erase the need for the others? Because we did just that. Introducing: Tara & Co’s Tracy bag.
Created by former CEO (and ex-Facebooker) Julia Lam, the Tracy is a convertible bag, made of two leather styles that zip together and can be worn multiple ways. The larger of the two is roomy enough for a laptop and can be worn as a backpack or a shoulder bag. The smaller section can be zipped off and worn as a clutch or a crossbody. The Tracy also features two padded pockets for devices, expandable compartments (for water bottles, umbrellas, and the like), and zippered pockets. Basically, this is a bag for a real woman’s life — and we are here. For. It.
According to Lam, “I felt like I was injuring my shoulder by dragging around my life in my purse but I needed to present the most ‘professional‘ look to get business done. Ultimately, I moved to a backpack but it made me feel young and unsophisticated. I thought there had to be a better way.” And thus, the Tracy bag was born.
Retailing regularly at $395, you can choose from all black as well as the option of a red or teal clutch. And with an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign launching today, you can not only vote on newly released colors (and help build a woman-run brand from the ground up), but you can score the Tracy bag for $295. Women helping women — now that’s always in style.
