Joining the star on the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Live tour will be some of your favorite cast members, including Vincent Rodriguez III (Josh Chan), Scott Michael Foster (Nathaniel Plimpton III), and Pete Gardner (Darryl Whitefeather). Together, they’ll be tackling a selection of the many tunes we’ve seen over the past few seasons.
“In the course of 44 episodes, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend has featured over 100 original songs,” co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer Aline Brosh McKenna told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s so exciting that fans will get to see up close the phenomenal live performing talents of our cast, led by Rachel Bloom, and hear the amazing songwriting of Rachel, Adam [Schlesinger], and Jack [Dolgen].”
Bloom added, “There is nothing like performing musical comedy live. It’s not just a performance, it’s an ongoing dialogue between the performers and the audience. We are so excited to offer new renditions of some of our beloved songs and connect with our amazing fans.”
The announcement also included a list of the cities that will be lucky enough to see the tour, as well as the dates you should mark in your calendar if you intend to snag tickets for you and your besties.
The tour will kick off on March 31 in Portland, Oregon, before moving on to Seattle (April 1), Chicago (April 4), Boston (April 5), and Washington, D.C. (April 6). You can also catch the fun in Philadelphia (April 7), New York (April 8), and Los Angeles (April 10). If these first eight shows go well and sell out, let’s hope that they decide to hit up some other cities around the country later this year.
For now, fans in these eight lucky cities can buy tickets when they go on sale on Wednesday, February 14. Tickets can be purchased via Rachel Bloom’s website.
