The “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Trailer Is Out and Has Taken Over the Internet
The second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, The Last Jedi, is set to be one of the biggest fall 2017 movie releases. Not just because the franchise always delivers — the first episode of the reboot, The Force Awakens, made over $2 billion worldwide — but because, judging by Twitter’s reaction, people are HERE for every detail of this new trailer.
In The Last Jedi, Daisy Ridley returns as Rey, Adam Driver returns as emo Kylo Ren, Mark Hamill is back as Luke Skywalker, and Carrie Fisher gives her final performance as Princess Leia.
In the trailer, we see Rey possibly turn to the dark side, an epic Finn and Captain Phasma battle, Kylo Ren possibly killing his mom Leia — oh, and, um, PORGS.
These adorable new creatures have been causing a commotion since EW first teased images of them back in August, and the “penguin-like wide-eyed creatures” continue to delight fans in the new trailer.
