This Is the Surprising Mean Girls Star Checking in on Lindsay Lohan Post Boating Accident
Mean Girls month is in full swing, and even though Lindsay Lohan is still recovering from a major boating accident that left her with a detached finger (um, ouch?!), she’s been taking time out to pay homage to the movie that more or less launched her career into the stratosphere.
Not only did she recall her iconic “It’s October 3” line on the actual date while texting with a friend, she’s also been chatting with an old pal from the film as of late.
Since there’s pretty much nothing we love more than seeing old friends unite — even when they’re pretending to be mad at each other, á la Ashton Kutcher and Laura Prepon — we couldn’t be more stoked: especially because it’s none other than the guy who sparked the line to begin with, Jonathan Bennett, AKA Aaron Samuels in the flesh!
Taking to Instagram to post a photo of their most recent FaceTime together, Lindsay can be seen laughing hysterically at something her old pal said or did, writing, “#nice #friends #j.”
Whoa! We had no idea these two still kept in touch!
According to E!, Jonathan has vehemently denied having any desire to take part in a reunion of any sort with ANY of the Mean Girls girls on multiple occasions, so it’s possible he only called to wish her a speedy recovery after hearing the news. But rare occurrence or not, we happen to think he just might have a soft spot for the film too: After all, his Instagram bio IS a direct nod to it, reading, “I get it…my hair looks sexy pushed back.”
Awwwww, too cute, guys! Maybe next time Gretchen Wieners (AKA Lacey Chabert) and her new baby can dial in too — IF Cady — we mean Lindsay — can remember that three-way calling trick!
