See the Fun-Filled Photos from Julianne Hough’s Star-Studded “Beachelorette” Party

As one TV star, Ali Fedotowsky, celebrates her recent walk down the aisle, another, Julianne Hough, is prepping for her own. Hough and a gaggle of her closest gal pals hit the beaches in Cabo, San Lucas, Mexico, this weekend, and thanks to their adorable hashtag, #Wedontlaichhimwelovehim (a nod to Hough’s fiancé’s, Brooks Laich), we got a sneak peek at all the fun they’ve been having. The girls have been documenting her “beachelorette” party all weekend long, and the pics are not only too cute for words — they’re giving us MAJOR vacay envy.

Check out all the excitement below!

1. Hough rocked a teeny white bikini and a pink Bachelorette sash on the beach as she toasted to her new life.

2. The ladies didn’t neglect their fitness, however, with Dobrev captioning this shot of the gals getting their sweat on with, “Gotta work on the bikini bod when you go on a BEACHelorette.”

3. Hough showed off her DWTS moves with some tumbles into the pool. “Wet and wild,” she said.

4. Dobrev and Hough — clad in a… is that a Monopoly money bikini bottom? — also got their beach groove on to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.”

5. In a more relaxing moment, the ladies cozied up on an outdoor bed to enjoy a cup of joe.

6. Later in the evening, Hough leaned on her ladies, who just so happen to include BFF Nina Dobrev, Cindy Crawford, Rita Wilson, and Kris Jenner.

7. The cutest post of all, however, had to be this one of the bride-to-be excitedly spinning in a short white dress to the tune of “Going to the Chapel.”

When I was a little girl, my sister and I were obsessed with mermaids. The colorful tails, the ability to breathe underwater, the chance to swim with fish and dolphins and whales. Needless to say, we were equally as obsessed with The Little Mermaid. It was one of the first movies where I saw a girl really and truly go after what she wanted — and learn from her mistakes along the way.

When Disney first announced that they were remaking the iconic cartoon into a live-action story (the same way they did with Cinderella in 2015 and Beauty and the Beast in 2017), I was over the moon and something about the new images and clips are making me incredibly emotional. I'm just so excited to see this story come to life!

Disney released the first full trailer for the film during the 95th Academy Awards on March 12, and the film was definitely just as good (if not better) than the original. Read our The Little Mermaid movie reviewto find out why! Here's everything you need to know about the movie.

Halle Bailey sings "Part of Your World" at Disneyland

On the May 14 episode of American Idol, Halle Bailey just performed "Part of Your World" at Disneyland with stunning visuals and a beautiful dress.

"first time singing part of your world live since filming 😭🌊", she says on TikTok. "singing vocals in freezing cold weather at 3am in [the] morning while [the] park is closed is no joke but we did it!"

While on a trip to Disney World, Bailey "met this beautiful lady Mila Rose who made me cry," Bailey said in her Instagram stories. "She just hugged me so tight."

This moment — along with all the fan reactions to Bailey's casting — prove just how important representation is.

In the new live action remake, Ariel will be played by actress and singer Halle Bailey. Jodi Benson voiced the original cartoon. After Bailey received backlash due to her role as Ariel, she isn't letting it shake her.

"I want the little girl in me and the little girls just like me who are watching to know that they’re special, and that they should be a princess in every single way,” Bailey says in an interview with Variety.

Who Else Is In The Cast?

In addition to Bailey as Ariel, we'll see Jonah Hauer-King as Eric, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Simone Ashley as Indira, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, and Awkwafina as Scuttle.

The best thing about falling in love with a show is realizing that, even if the story and the characters are fictional, the real-world locations are often as beautiful as they look onscreen. I can tell you from firsthand experience that Wilmington, North Carolina is one of those places.

Following in the footsteps of projects like teen dramas like One Tree Hill and Dawson's Creek and movies like Iron Man 3 and Safe Haven, Prime Video'sThe Summer I Turned Pretty set up shop in southeast North Carolina. Long before I binge watched any of the projects filming in Wilmington, I spent my own summers there!

After you've caught up on our Gossip Girl Fangirl's Guide To New York City and Gilmore Girls Fangirl's Guide to Washington, Connecticut, read up on B+C's best recommendations for your next trip to Cousins.

Lola Tung (Belly) and Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah) running down the beach in Wilmington, North Carolina

Among the many reasons it's special, Wilmington feels like a unique mix between coastal and urban. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to ensure a good time, but there is also plenty of sand and surf if you want to spend the entire time by the water. Press play on our Summer Playlist — or better yet, listen to the official TSITP one.

Where To Stay In Wilmington, North Carolina

Image via Erika Doss/Prime Video

Rain Spencer (Taylor) and Sean Kaufman (Steven) sit by the pool

There are a few areas around southeast NC that make for a great stay. Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Southport are all beautiful locations (Wrightsville Beach being the closest to downtown Wilmington and Southport being the farthest). The good news is that they're all close enough to Wilmington that getting into the city is easy!

There are tons of AirBnbs throughout the area, plus some hotels to really make you feel like a local. Unfortunately you can't stay in the house used for Susannah's summer home since it's located in Porters Neck Plantation, a gated golf course community. It's got five bedrooms, six bathrooms, an infinity pool, plus a private dock and a pier. No biggie!

A bedroom in The Seagate Bungalow

AirBnB's are my favorite places to stay on vacation — that way you feel like a local! Try something like The "Hygge" Beach House for a relaxing stay featuring a hot tub, fire pit, and trail, or The Seagate Bungalow, which is right near the beach.

What To Do In Wilmington, North Carolina

Image via Erika Doss/Prime Video

Lola Tung (Belly)

Instead of asking "what can we do in Wilmington?" you should probably ask "what can't we do?" because there are so many options!

The Beach

If you're on the coast of North Carolina, then the beach is probably top-of-mind. The Summer I Turned Pretty films at Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, and Wrightsville Beach, all of which make for great spots to lay out your towel. When Cam and Belly go biking in season 1 episode 4, they're at Fort Fisher, which is another great place to explore.

The Country Club

The exterior shots for the country club were filmed at Cape Fear Country Club. It also features a golf course where you can play — just make sure not to camp out on the green like the gang does in season 2 episode 4.

Image via Erika Doss/Prime Video

Lola Tung (Belly) and Christopher Briney (Conrad) play basketball on the boardwalk

The Boardwalk

This is such a fun experience that I definitely recommend! The Carolina Beach Boardwalk has everything from a Ferris wheel to bumper cars, and it also happens to be a less-than-five-minute walk away from the beloved Britts Donuts. Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park was used for a lot of the interior shots and for the go-kart scene.

Whale of a Tale Bookshop

If you're in the market for some new books, stop by Papercut Books to peruse both new and vintage books.

The Dress Boutique

The scene where Laurel, Susannah, and Belly shop for Belly's debutante gown filmed inside Camille's of Wilmington, so start here for all your dress needs — whether or not you're going to a deb ball.

Where To Eat

Rosie's from The Summer I Turned Pretty

Russell's Gas And Groceries

Every good roadtrip needs snacks, so stock up at Russell's Quik Stop in northwest Wilmington — just like Belly and her family do!

Rosie's

If you want something a tad more filling that still has all the fun of a roadtrip stop, opt for Old River Farms in Burgaw, NC (a half hour's drive from Wilmington). It was used for Belly and Jeremiah's favorite pie stand, via People.

The Fat Pelican

Craving drinks and bites? The Fat Pelican (where Laurel and Susannah hang out in season 1 episode 5) is right near the Carolina Beach Boardwalk. That means you can ride the Ferris wheel, grab donuts, and stop for drinks, all without getting back in your car.

I have such a love/hate relationship with haircuts. While I love the feeling of a fresh look as much as the next girl, I hate having to spend $100+ for a simple cut and blow dry session. During my recent trim, I talked with my hairdresser, Jack Rehak of Jack’s Hair Design in Hinsdale, Illinois, about ways to keep a haircut looking new and best practices for keeping hair healthy. Here's what he had to say!

Here's How Often You Should Cut Your Hair, According To Professionals

I’ll admit it — it had been eight months since my last haircut. My hair had lost its shape, my layers were nowhere to be found, and my ends were begging for mercy. Life got busy over the last few months and I was neglecting my haircare like never before.

My hairdresser could immediately see that I was beyond due for a cut and said I needed to get more taken off than I was hoping. I was definitely disappointed — I'd been working on growing out my hair for a while now, and it just felt like my hard work had completely gone to waste. He explained that getting consistent haircuts is the key to growing out healthy and strong hair, rather than letting it grow and grow until it eventually breaks. So let's dig into the top three things you can do to avoid this scenario!

1. Just Get The Dang Haircut

Also avoiding a haircut like I was? You might want to schedule one at your nearest salon. Like my stylist said, when you wait too long between trims like I did, you risk your hair becoming heavy, dull, and lifeless. When the hair is dry or even dead, it’s nearly impossible for it to hold a curl or style, essentially collapsing on you and taking on more and more heat damage all the while. I know the pain of spending time on a blowout only for it to fall minutes later — it’s the worst.

According to Jack, getting a haircut every 10-12 weeks is the best time frame or your ends will pay the price. Between blow-drying, curling, straightening, sun, and weather, our ends get dry and start to break without the proper care. Getting consistent haircuts allows hair to bounce back, shine, and perform the way we want in a healthy way.

2. Leave-In Conditioners Are Your Friend

His top piece of advice to keep your hair looking and feeling hydrated between trims? Invest in conditioning treatments. Jack swears by the Olaplex conditioning system, specifically the No 3 Hair Perfector. Made with patented OLAPLEX Bond Building Technology™, this conditioning treatment repairs and prevents damage in as little as three minutes. No 3 promises to reduce breakage and visibly strengthen hair, so it’s the perfect assistance to keep ends fresh between cuts. Another conditioning treatments I’ve used and loved for years is the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask, which is designed to restore moisture, elasticity, and shine to dry hair.

3. Switch Up Your Shampoos

Switching shampoos frequently is a pretty hot tip that I honestly hadn't thought of. Our hair gets used to the same products and grows tired of them, resulting in lackluster locks. Jack’s advice is to switch brands after finishing every bottle of shampoo to bring life back to your hair. Have two brands that you’re loyal to? Even switching back and forth between them after every bottle should make a big difference in your hair. I’m a huge fan of the R+Co Dallas Biotin Thickening Shampoo, which makes my hair look thick and full, as well as the Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo, which is so hydrating and gives so much shine.

In the end, navigating your back-and-forth relationship with haircuts often feels like a rollercoaster ride between wanting that fresh look and cringing at the receipt. Luckily, by using conditioning treatments and switching up your products,, you can keep your locks healthy, shiny, and full of life between trims. But take a newly learned lesson out of my book: don't let your ends pay the price for procrastination and just book the haircut.
