Fashion Mavens, Rejoice! Gucci Just Launched a Decor Collection That’s Haute to the Max
Looking for that special accessory to nail your Pinterest-perfect home? Well, you’re in luck, because designer Alessandro Michele just launched a decor collection with Gucci that’s as chic as can be. Gucci Decor promises to be an eclectic collection that will allow for living spaces to be customized, rather than “prescribing a particular decorative look.” The Italian fashion house hasn’t released any photos of the merch just yet, but they have shared a series of illustrations by artist Alex Merry that show off the line in all its colorful, quirky glory. While we can’t vouch for the prices, the cat face pillows and snake tray table definitely work to create a space that’s unique and sophisticated but still *v* trendy.
The collection includes everything from couch cushions, candles, incense trays, chairs, screens, wallpaper, metal trays, and metal folding tables. Many of the pieces in the line are inspired by the Gucci Garden with images like bees, snakes, and cockerel spaniels playing a prominent role, while stag beetle incense holders and butterfly candles make up the rest of the porcelain pieces.
Smaller pieces of the collection include candles, incense trays, and potted jars. There are four candle scents, all inspired by natural scents like tomato leaves, birch, damask rose, and oranges. Pro tip: You’ll want to know this candle hack to make those scents last for-ev-er because we’re betting they won’t be cheap!
The rest of the collection includes a metal trays and tray tables in bold colors and quirky prints that can be used in a variety of ways. There are chairs that feature the signature Gucci menagerie — cat, tiger, moth, and bee — and several cushions that come with bright patterns and tasseled trims. Finally, there’s a range of silk folding screens featuring designs previously seen in Gucci’s fashion collections and a wallpaper collection inspired by the famous Gucci Flora design.
Got your shopping wish list ready? Hold your horses, you won’t be able to buy Gucci Decor pieces online and at some Gucci and specialty stores until September 2017.
