There are all manner of ways to celebrate pride, whether it’s watching The Babadook or rocking pride merch. One woman asked her hairstylist pal to give her a rainbow dye job in honor of the event. And, no, it wasn’t your typical rainbow hair.

St. Louis-based hairstylist Caitlin Ford‘s best friend, Instagram user @potatoeslaughing, asked for rainbow underarms she could rock at St. Louis Pride this weekend. Ford, who’s well known on Instagram for her technicolor dye jobs, happily obliged.

She started the process like most dye jobs, by bleaching her friend’s hair. Then, she used Pulp Riot dye in hot pink, orange, yellow, green, and blue to create the look.

The final result was colorful, fierce, and fab. Ford, who has dubbed her creation “Rainbow Pits,” told Allure that while she’d never dyed someone’s armpits before (understandable), “It was actually very fun and easy to do.” And judging by the photos, her friend seemed to love the end look as well.

Would you dye your armpit hair? Tell us @BritandCo!
