The First Hello Kitty Cafe Just Opened in America and It’s Cute AF

Even though we no longer have much use for those Hello Kitty school supplies we used to obsess over way back when, we’ve still found a way to incorporate the ultra-cute brand into our adult lives. The brand released a high-fashion Hello Kitty line and has also partnered with MAC on a beauty line. So it only makes sense that the brand has expanded its aesthetic to another adult pastime: hanging out at a cafe.

Naturally, a Hello Kitty cafe has already been open in Seoul for some time now, but California just got its first HK eatery yesterday. The new location opened up in the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, California. The ultra-Instagrammable new spot is actually a shipping container that unfolds to reveal a patio.

While chilling in that California sun, Sanrio mega-fans can nibble on sweets like tiny apple pies and HK-themed petite fours. The bistro serves up artisanal sodas, tea and coffee drinks utilizing Portola Coffee Lab coffee.

Should you find yourself in sunny So-Cal, be sure to check out the adorable little cafe and tag us in your Instagram post (@BritandCo), so we can live vicariously through you ;)
