Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better on the NYC café front, what with a Golden Girls café open for business and all, the geniuses at Kellogg’s NYC have proved us wrong with another venture that’s every bit as exciting: a pop-up Pop-Tarts Café!
Through February 26 (we know: Don’t walk, RUN!) between the hours of 8am and 11pm, you’ll be privy to menu items such as Pop-Tarts pizza (brown sugar cinnamon crust, strawberry “marinara” sauce, frosting “cheese,” fruit leather “pepperoni,” and fresh mint), Tarty Tacos (cookies and cream “ground beef,” coconut “lettuce,” jelly bean “tomato,” strawberry Sriracha (!) “salsa,” frosting “sour cream,” and cinnamon-sugar tortillas), and Birthday Fiesta Nachos (Confetti Cupcake Pop-Tarts, strawberry “salsa,” frosting “cheese,” fresh mint, sprinkles, and birthday cake).
Okay, seriously? This place sounds like Heaven. And it’s not all food-based, either — there are also shakes (POP-TARTS SHAKES, PEOPLE!) that consist of Pop Tarts pieces (we’re particularly feeling Dem Cookies, Dough: chocolate chip cookie dough Pop-Tart, vanilla ice cream, cookie dough, milk, whipped cream, and chocolate drizzle) and desserts too (think cheesecakes and cake poppers).
And of course, what would a Pop-Tarts café be without the actual inspiration for the treat? For $1 per tart, you can enjoy all your faves from Wildlicious Wild! Berry to new spins on the classic, like Dunkin’ Donuts Frosted Chocolate Mocha.
We don’t know about you, but we’re salivating — BIG TIME. Time for a breaky break!
