These Homemade Butterfinger, Snickers, + Kit Kat Bars Have Less Than 5 Ingredients
'Tis the season for all things candy, and we are in the mood for something sweet. We wanted to figure out how to make our favorite candy bars, both because it's fun and healthier that way, and we have a few tricks to show you how to make them too. It's simpler than it sounds to make these delicious candy bars and they're the perfect addition to our collection of spooky sweets!
We took on our 3 favorite candy bars — Butterfinger, Snickers, and Kit Kats — and limited each recipe to 5 ingredients or less…You won’t believe the awesome trick we discovered to make great tasting Butterfinger-inspired bars. Keep reading to find out!
Butterfinger Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Line a pan with foil. Melt candy corn in microwave in 30-second intervals until completely melted.
- Stir in peanut butter and heat for another 30 seconds. Mixture should become firm and homogenous after stirring. Form mixture into a long rectangular block on top of foil and freeze for two hours. Cut block into bars.
- Melt chocolate and dip each bar until completely coated. Let candy bars firm up in the refrigerator for one hour before serving.
Snickers Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 cup marshmallow creme
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
- 1 cup soft caramels
- 1 cup peanuts
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Line a pan with foil. Mix together marshmallow cream and peanut butter to create the nougat layer; spread into a rectangular layer about 1/2-inch thick. Place in freezer.
- Melt caramels in microwave in 30-second intervals until creamy. Stir in peanuts and heat for another 30 seconds. Spread mixture over the nougat layer. Set aside to harden for about 30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate and dip each bar until completely coated. Let candy bars firm up in the refrigerator for one hour before serving.
Instructions:
- Line a pan with foil. Melt chocolate chips and spread a thick layer of chocolate into a rectangle over a portion of the foil. Place 4 graham crackers on top of chocolate layer for the first Kit Kat layer. Cover graham crackers with chocolate and stack with another graham layer. Repeat one more time so that you have 3 layers of grahams. Cover with chocolate. Allow to set up in the refrigerator for one hour.
- Remove and carefully slice into thin bars.
- Reheat chocolate as necessary and dip each bar until completely coated. Let bars set up in the refrigerator for one hour before serving. So delicious and surprisingly easy to make!
