Hailey Baldwin Reveals the Super Sweet Way Justin Bieber Proposed
Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber have managed to keep much of their whirlwind romance under wraps, from their top secret engagement to their even more secret nuptials. Now, the couple is opening up about their relationship like never before in their first joint interview as the cover stars of Vogue‘s March issue. As part of the story, the 22-year-old model answered 73 questions exactly 17 hours and 19 minutes before the memorable shoot, and revealed how her beau proposed, plus so much more.
Meeting the Vogue team at Villa Carlotta in Los Angeles, the beaming bride braved the rain, as she showed off possible outfit options and maneuvered the rapid-fire questions like a pro. First things first, contrary to what some have reported, her engagement was not a public affair. Instead, Bieber decided to keep it private and super sweet.
“We were on a trip to the Bahamas and we were alone in a house, just the two of us,” she recalled, showing off her massive rock. “It was very special.” And yes, he did keep things traditional and ask her dad for permission first.
Also in the interview, the newlywed revealed what she loves most about her new hubby (“his heart for other people”), the item she steals most often while raiding his closet (“his socks”), and her ideal date night (“staying in, ordering food, and watching TV”). And while she kept mum on the dress she plans to wear to her second wedding ceremony, she did let on that it will be an off-white color.
Other fun facts: The couple text every day, the emoji they use the most is the red heart (of course!), and she considers Canada to be her home now, even if she can only sing the first line of the national anthem. What’s more, she really loves Shake Shack, thinks Rocky Road is THE most underrated ice cream flavor of all, and says the weirdest app on her phone has to be Magic Piano.
