This Rockstar’s Message to Her Newborn Is the Sweetest

If you’ve ever jammed out to Yeah Yeah Yeah’s songs like, “Maps” or “Head Will Roll,” chances are you’re familiar with the rockstar power that is Karen O. The musician and style icon is always on our radar for her legendary tunes, but recently she’s taken on a totally new role: mom.
The 36-year-old announced that she had given birth to a baby boy this past Sunday. While his name remains a mystery (although we’re sure it’s something awesome), she did share a pretty adorable pic of him on her Instagram. She accompanied the photo with the sweetest message. Karen wrote, “Shortly after we brought him home I held him in my arms and listened to Roberta Flack singing this tune I felt my heart exploding in my chest with a love I couldn’t begin to put into words so Roberta’s will have to do for now. The first time ever I saw your face I thought the sun rose in your eyes And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave To the dark and the endless skies, my love To the dark and the endless skies.”
